Studi Numerik Karakteristik Aliran Melintasi Silinder Sirkular dengan Bodi Pengganggu Airfoil NACA 0012, NACA 0018, NACA 0024 yang Tersusun Tandem

Abstract


Penelitian ini dilakukan secara numerik dengan penambahan bodi pengganggu berupa airfoil dengan tiga macam NACA yang memiliki angle of attack 5˚ yaitu NACA 0012; NACA 0018; NACA 0024 ditempatkan di depan silinder sirkular (D = 36 mm) sisi upstream dengan variasi jarak S/D = 0,2 ; 0,6 ; 1 ; 1,4 . Simulasi numerik ini menggunakan CFD solver FLUENT 2023 R1 Student Version dengan pemodelan 2D-unsteady flow dan turbulence viscous model k-ω Shear Stress Transport. Penelitian numerik ini dilakukan pada bilangan Reynolds sebesar 2,01 x 104. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi gaya hambat dan hasil yang diperoleh dari penambahan bodi pengganggu airfoil NACA 0012 pada jarak S/D = 1,4 dapat mereduksi koefisien drag secara optimal sebesar 28,4%. Sedangkan reduksi koefisien drag terendah terjadi pada NACA 0018 dengan jarak S/D = 1 yaitu sebesar 11%.
