Abstract

Asuransi jiwa merupakan bentuk manajemen risiko yang sering  dilakukan oleh masyarakat. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan berasuransi jiwa.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh demografis seperti gender, tingkat pendidikan, pendapatan serta persepsi risiko.Metode pengambilan sampel adalah purposive dan convenience. Dengan menggunakan uji beda rata-rata dan model persamaan structural, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan keputusan kepemilikan asuransi jiwa berdasar demografis. Sementara itu, persepsi risiko terbukti mempengaruhi keputusan kepemilikan asuransi jiwa.

Abstract

Life insurance is a form of risk management that is often done by people. There are several factors that influence the decision of life insurance. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of demographics such as gender, education level, income and risk perception. The sampling method is purposive and convenience. By using different test average and a structural equation model, the results showed that there was no difference of life insurance ownership decision based on demographics. Meanwhile, risk perceptions proved to influence the decisions of life insurance ownership
