Abstract

Abstract

Online learning has the potential to become a learning model trend in the future. Student satisfaction in online learning activities is one of the benchmarks for the success of implementing educational programs in higher education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of student interaction and the presence of lecturers on student satisfaction in online learning with student involvement as a moderator variable. This study is a cross-sectional survey with a quantitative approach. The research sample was taken by simple random sampling technique with a total sample of 253 students. Data taken from questionnaires were analyzed using path analysis. The results showed that there was a significant direct effect of student interaction, lecturer presence, and student engagement on student satisfaction in online learning. Student interaction and lecturer presence also have a significant direct effect on student engagement. However, it turns out that there is no significant indirect effect of student interaction and lecturer presence on student satisfaction in online learning through student engagement. The implication is that educational institutions need to formulate implementing policies to optimize these three factors as an effort to increase student satisfaction in online learning.

Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak
