Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Preservasi Identitas Sosiokultural-Religius dalam Konteks Thailand Selatan

Abstract


Dengan menggunakan pendekatan antropologi sosial, artikel ini dimaksudkan untuk mendeskripsikan secara kualtatif peran pendidikan agama Islam dalam memelihara dan melestarikan identitas sosiokultural-religius mayarakat Muslim di Thailand Selatan. Dalam studi ini, data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD), observasi, dan dokumentasi. Dari analisis data dengan teknik analisis isi dan analisis wacana, temuan studi ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam konteks mayarakat Muslim di Thailand Selatan pendidikan agama Islam di madrasah berperan penting dalam melakukan preservasi identitas sosiokultural-religius melalui pendekatan kurikulum, komunikasi, dan peraturan. Studi ini menyarankan perlunya dilakukan rekonseptualisasi dan rekonstruksi identitas sosiokultural-religius bagi masyarakat Muslim dalam konteks keragaman kawasan, keragaman budaya, dan keragaman bahasa.
