Pengaruh Locus of Control dan Achievement Goal Oriented terhadap Kematangan Karier Calon Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen

Abstract


Abstract. This study aimed to examine factors that motivate students majoring in Christian Religious Education (CRE) to have career maturity as prospective CRE teachers and motivation oriented towards achieving goals in process of becoming a teacher. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with the ex post facto method. The results showed that the locus of control and achievement goal-oriented students had a 53.8% influence on the career maturity of CRE teacher candidates. It could be concluded that prospective CRE teachers need to have achievement goal oriented and locus of control so that they are able to direct every action and encourage themselves to achieve goals.

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji faktor pendorong mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) memiliki kematangan karier sebagai calon guru PAK dan motivasi yang berorientasi pada pencapaian tujuan dalam proses menjadi guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex post facto. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa locus of control dan achievement goal oriented mahasiswa memiliki pengaruh 53.8% terhadap kematangan karier calon guru PAK. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa calon guru PAK perlu memiliki achievement goal oriented dan locus of control sehingga mampu mengarahkan setiap tindakan dan mendorong diri sendiri untuk mencapai tujuan.
