ESTILOS DE AFRONTAMIENTO Y CONSUMO DE ALCOHOL-CANNABIS EN ESTUDIANTES DE UNA UNIVERSIDAD PRIVADA DE LIMA SUR

Resumen

In the present study, the relationship between coping and alcohol-cannabis use styles was determined in a sample of 330 university students between the ages of 17 and 62, from the schools of Psychology and Law of a private university in South Lima. The study was of non-experimental design, descriptive correlational type. The COPE-60 coping styles questionnaire and the ASSIST 3.0 Drug Use Screening Test were administered. The results showed that 71.2% of the participants presented a consumption of legal drugs (alcohol, tobacco and pills). The results showed significant differences between the coping style dimension directed to the task, aimed at the emotional partner and sex. Regarding cannabis use, there is a significant difference with male sex and alcohol consumption with the law school. Finally, a direct relation of coping and alcohol consumption styles was found.
