Pengaruh Pemberian Edukasi Online Terhadap Pengetahuan dan Perilaku Masyarakat dalam Pencegahan Penularan Covid-19 di Masa New Normal

Abstract

The application of the new normal (new phase of life) must be with high compliance from the community to prevent Covid-19 so that new cases do not occur. One solution to prevent being infected with Covid-19 is to obtain various information about the mechanism of the Covid-19 virus so there is still a need for socialization related to Covid-19 one of which is through online education. The method of delivering messages or information through online courses that include peer interaction is an effective method of delivering information. This study aims to identify the effect of providing online education on people's knowledge and behavior in preventing covid 19 in the new normal period. The design used in this study was quantitative using a pre-experimental method with pre and post-test one group design. Sampling using non-probability sampling namely purposive sampling. The sample in this study was the community in the Lalebata village Panca Rijang sub-district as many as 50. The results of the analysis using the paired sample t-test. The statistical test results for the knowledge variable obtained the difference in knowledge before being given online education in the average of 1.66 while after being given online education the average was 1.88 with p value of 0.001. For the behavioral variables obtained before being given online education the average was 1.26 while after being given online education the average average which was 1.86 with p-value of 0.000. A significant difference could be found between people's knowledge and behavior in preventing the transmission of covid-19 before and after being given online education. It is recommended that these online educational activities can be carried out especially during the current new normal.

ABSTRAK

Penerapan new normal (fase kehidupan baru) harus diimbangi dengan kepatuhan yang tinggi dari masyarakat untuk mencegah Covid-19 agar tidak terjadi kasus baru. Salah satu solusi untuk mencegah agar tidak terinfeksi Covid-19 adalah dengan memperoleh berbagai informasi tentang mekanisme virus Covid-19, maka dengan hal ini masih perlu adanya sosialisasi terkait covid-19, salah satunya melalui edukasi online. Metode penyampaian pesan atau informasi melalui online course’s yang menyertakan interaksi teman sebaya merupakan metode penyampaian informasi yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindentifikasi pengaruh pemberian edukasi online terhadap pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat dalam pencegahan covid 19  di masa new normal. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, menggunakan metode pra eksperimen dengan pre and post-test one group design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan nonprobability sampling yaitu purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat yang berada di Kelurahan Lalebata Kecamatan Panca Rijang sebanyak 50. Analisis data menggunakan paired sample t-test. Hasil uji statistik untuk variabel pengetahuan didapatkan perbedaan pengetahuan sebelum diberi edukasi online dengan rata-rata 1,66, sedangkan setelah diberi edukasi online dengan rata-rata 1,88; dengan  nilai p = 0,001. Untuk variabel perilaku didapatkan perbedaan perilaku sebelum diberi edukasi online dengan rata-rata 1,26 sedangkan setelah diberi edukasi online dengan rata-rata 1,86 dengan nilai p = 0,000. Dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat dalam pencegahan penularan Covid-19 sebelum dan setelah diberikan edukasi online. Disarankan kegiatan edukasi online ini bisa dilaksanakan secara berkesinambungan terutama dimasa new normal.
