Polyclinic "Aleida Fernández Chardiet"Objetivo: caracterizar el conocimiento que tiene sobre dengue y suprevención la población del Policlínico “Aleida Fernández Chardiet”,del municipio La Lisa, La Habana, Cuba.Método: se llevó a cabo un estudio descriptivo de corte transversalpara caracterizar el conocimiento de la población del Policlínico“Aleida Fernández Chardiet”, del municipio La Lisa, en cuanto aldengue y su prevención en el periodo comprendido desde enerode 2018 hasta julio de 2018. Las variables utilizadas para lainvestigación se recogieron en un cuestionario y la informaciónse procesó de forma manual. Se emplearon números absolutos yporcientos para exponer los resultados de la investigación realizaday darle así salida a los objetivos planteados.Resultados: de los 100 individuos encuestados el 97% conoceque el dengue es producido por un virus y el 100% identificó alAedes Aegypti como vector transmisor de la enfermedad. El 100%de los individuos conocen los síntomas que produce el dengue y lasmedidas `para su prevención.Conclusiones: en el estudio se observó que la mayoría de lapoblación encuestada pudo responder de manera adecuadalas preguntas realizadas en el cuestionario, evidenciando tenerconocimientos básicos de la enfermedad y su prevención.Palabras clave: dengue; prevención; arbovirosis; conocimiento.ABSTRACTObjective: characterize the knowledge that the population of the“Aleida Fernández Chardiet” Polyclinic, of the La Lisa municipalityhas about dengue and its prevention.Method: a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried outto characterize the knowledge of the population of the “AleidaFernández Chardiet”Polyclinic, of La Lisa municipality, regarding dengue and its prevention in the period between January 2018 andJuly 2018. The variables used for the investigation were collected ina questionnaire. The information was processed manually, absolutenumbers and percentages were used to present the results of theresearch carried out and to achieve the proposed objectives.Results: of the 100 individuals surveyed, most of them knowthat dengue is produced by a virus and all of them identify Aedesaegypti as a transmitting vector of the disease. All individualsknow the symptoms that dengue produce and the measures forits prevention.Conclusions: In the study it was observed that the majority of thesurveyed population was able to answer adequately the questionsasked in the questionnaire, showing basic knowledge of the diseaseand its prevention.Keywords: Dengue; prevention; arbovirus; knowledge.

Carcinoma escamoso de orofaringe relacionado con el virus del papiloma humano / Squamous oropharyngeal carcinoma related to human papillomavirus Carcinoma escamoso de orofaringe relacionado con el virus del papiloma humano / Squamous oropharyngeal carcinoma related to human papillomavirusObjetivo: compilar los conocimientos más actuales relacionados con el papel del virus del papiloma humano en la génesis del carcinoma escamoso de orofaringe y de las características particulares que adquieren estos tumores.Desarrollo: el trabajo recoge algunos datos estadísticos sobre la actualidad y a ltrascendencia del problema, profundiza en el proceso de carcinogénesis, en las características que motivaron los cambios en la octava Edición del Manual de Estadiamiento del Cáncer del American Joint Committeon Cancer y la cuarta Edición del Libro Azul de la Organización Mundial de la Salud sobre Tumores de Cabeza y Cuello, así como de las perspectivas de tratamiento y prevención.Conclusiones: el carcinoma escamoso de orofaringe relacionado con el virus del papiloma humano es una entidad diferente que requiere de métodos eficaces para su identificación y la adecuación de los tratamientos.Palabras clave: virus del papiloma humano; carcinoma escamoso; orofaringe.ABSTRACTObjective: to compile the most current knowledge related to the role of human papilloma virus in the genesis of squamous cell carcinoma of oropharynx and the particular characteristics that these tumours acquire.Development: the work contains some statistical data on the current and transcendence of the problem, delves into the process of carcinogenesis, in the characteristics that motivated the changes in the 7th Edition of the Manual of Cancer Staging of the American Joint Committe on Cancer and the 4th Edition of the World Health Organization’s Blue Book on Head and Neck Tumours, as well as the prospects for treatment and prevention.Conclusions: squamous cell carcinoma of oropharynx, related to human papilloma virus, is a different entity that requires effective methods for its identification and adequacy of treatments.Keywords: human papillomavirus; squamous carcinoma; oropharynx.
