Intervención psicoeducativa para padres de adolescentes diagnosticados con trastornos neuróticos Intervención psicoeducativa para padres de adolescentes diagnosticados con trastornos neuróticosIntroducción: la adolescencia se considera una etapa evolutiva crítica y trascendental dentro del desarrollo debido a la serie de cambios que conlleva; es común que aparezcan en esta etapa diferentes trastornos psiquiátricos que incluyenlos trastornos neuróticos, que constituyen una de las causas de consulta más frecuentes en esta etapa de la vida.Objetivo: determinar la efectividad de una intervención psicoeducativa en padres de adolescentes diagnosticados con trastornos neuróticos desdeenero de 2017 hasta diciembre de 2018.Métodos: se realizó un estudio de intervención psicoeducativa cuasiexperimental prospectivo en el Policlínico “Chiqui Gómez Lubián” dirigido a determinar la efectividad de una intervención psicoeducativa en padres de adolescentes con trastornos neuróticos. El universo de estudio lo conformaron 331 padres y la muestra 19.Resultados: se identificaron cinco necesidades psicoeducativas de la intervención: estilos educativos, comunicación, expresión de afecto, manejo de la ira y solución de conflictos. Según criterio de especialistas se consideró la intervención como viable, que contribuye a la información sobre las necesidades psicoeducativas y medianamente actual, pertinente y trascendente. Los conocimientos de los padres sobre el manejo de adolescentes con trastornos neuróticos antes de la intervención fueron catalogados, en todos sus indicadores, como inadecuados.Conclusiones: la intervención psicoeducativa resultó efectiva y considerada como muy útil por los padres, ayudará a cambiar la dinámica familiar de los participantes y facilitará el manejo y la evolución de los adolescentes con trastornos neuróticos.
