One of the fascinating questions of computer science is whether and to what extent randomization increases the power of algorithmic procedures. It is well-known that, in general, randomization makes distributed algorithms more powerful, for there are examp... see more

We use Rosa-type labelings to decompose complete graphs into unicyclic, disconnected, bipartite graphs on nine edges – namely, those featuring cyclic component C4, C6, or C8. For any such graph H, we prove there exists an H-design... see more

Let G = (V, E) be a simple undirected graph. A labeling f : V(G)?{1, …, k} is a local inclusive d-distance vertex irregular labeling of G if every adjacent vertices x, y ? V(G) have distinct weights, with the w... see more

For simple connected graphs that are neither paths nor cycles, we define l(G)=max{m : G has a divalent path of length m that is not both of length 2 and in a K3}, where a divalent path is a path whose internal vertices have d... see more

Background: Statistical graphs are widely used in society and are important in presenting data related to different topics. Statistics education aims improve the teaching and learning of statistics, which include the approaches to statistics graphs. Objec... see more

A communication network can be considered to be highly vulnerable to disruption if the failure of few members (nodes or links) can result in no member’s being able to communicate with very many others. These communication networks can be modeled through g... see more

Given a positive integer k and a graph G = (V, E), a function f from V to the power set of Ik is called a k-rainbow function if for each vertex v ? V, f(v)=Ø implies ?u ? N(v)f(u)=Ik&nb... see more

A handicap distance antimagic labeling of a graph G = (V, E) with n vertices is a bijection f : V ? {1, 2, …, n} with the property that f(xi)=i, the weight w(xi) is the sum of labels of all neigh... see more

Caracterización epidemiológica del envejecimiento poblacional en un área de salud. Octubre a diciembre 2017 / Epidemiological characterization of population aging in a health area. October to December 2017 Caracterización epidemiológica del envejecimiento poblacional en un área de salud. Octubre a diciembre 2017 / Epidemiological characterization of population aging in a health area. Las enfermedades más frecuentes resultaron: hipertensión arterial (64,3%), enfermedad cerebrovascular (35,6%) y enfermedad psiquiátrica (24,6%).Conclusiones: la incidencia de aspectos clínicos-epidemiológicos relacionados al envejecimiento poblacional del Consultorio Médico 4 requiere de una concepción y atención médica integrales que vele por una mayor calidad de vida y satisfacción de los adultos mayores.ABSTRACTObjective: to characterize epidemiologically the population aging in the health area of Medical Office 4 during October to December 2017.Materials and Methods: a descriptive and transversal research was carried out in the Medical Clinic 4belonging to the “Pedro Borrás Astorga” University Polyclinic in the city of Pinar del Río, Cuba, from October to December 2017. The universe consisted of 113 adult’s seniors belonging to said health area and the sample was made up of 73 of them. The bioethical principles of the research were taken into account, while the results were expressed in absolute and relative frequencies through tables and statistical graphs. Results: Older adults aged between 80 and 89 years (56.1%) predominated in the research. The most frequent diseases were: hypertension (64.3%), cerebrovascular disease (35.6%) and psychiatric illness (24.6%).Conclusions: the incidence of clinical-epidemiological aspects related to the population aging of the MedicalOffice 4 requires an integral conception and medical attention that ensures a higher quality of life andsatisfaction of the elderly. Keywords: elderly adult; population aging; clinical-epidemiological; Primary health care.
