The impact ana lysis of latencies and amplitudes of P300 auditory cognitive evoked potentials has been performed in patients with recurrent low back pain before and after a course of manipulative therapy. It's been found that the recurrent low back pain l... see more

Cortical auditory evoked potentials represent summation of neural activity in the auditory pathways in response to sounds. They provide an objective measure of the brain’s response to sound. For this reason, they are an effective tool for scientists and a... see more

In this work we use discrete wavelet transform for analyzes the frequency structure of EEG signal with evoked potentials after effect of stimulus. The method for determining the response time to a stimulus, based on the evaluation of the wavelet entropy a... see more

The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of  habitual exercise on visual evoked potentials (VEP) in Indian volleyball players. Visual evoked potentials (VEP) are used to assess the central visual pathway. Some physiological factors ... see more

DeCS: POTENCIALES EVOCADOS, TRASTORNOS DE LA AUDICIÓN/Diagnóstico, RUIDO/Efectos adversos.ABSTRACT A functional study was carried out in 50 patients suffering of hipoacusia in the Otorrinolaringology Service of "Abel Santamaria" Clinical Surgical Hospital in the period from July 1997 to December 1998, aimed at describing the possible variations of the main parameters used in the diagnosis of hipoacusia by using the conventional methods of diagnosis in our environment. They allowed the establishment of two groups of 25 patients one of them had neurosensorial hipoacusia and the other having conductive or transmission hipoacusia, good effectiveness of the audiometric study in the diagnosis of hipoacusia was proved. Likewise poor results were observed in audiometry of electric response of brain stem in the determination of the type of hipoacusia and a little efficiency of SISI was proved in the diagnosis of neurosensorial hipoacusia the contrary of the auditive evoked potentials of the brain stem.DeCS: EVOKED POTENTIALS, HEARING DISORDERDS/ Diagnostic, NOISE/ effect adverse.
