Best Practices for Engaging African-American Males: The Success Model

SUMMARY

The Success Model is a way to highlight the common factors of success for African American males who were raised in absent father homes.  This Model can serve as a campus-wide approach to promoting resilience and engagement among these young men.  Practical applications of the Success Model for school personnel are discussed.
