SUMMARY

This study aims at revealing the Pedagogical Formation Training Certificate Program (PFTCP) students’ –who have jobs- reasons tending to choose the teaching profession benefiting from the opinions of the participants attending the program. Phenomenological approach which is a qualitative research method was used in the study. The study group consisted of 32 students. The data in the study were collected with the use of open-ended question forms. The results in the study show that the reasons for the tendency in choosing teaching as a profession were revealed as loving the teaching profession, comfortable work conditions and obligations.  ÖzetBu arastirma bir meslege/ise sahip olan Pedagojik Formasyon Egitimi Sertifika Programi (PFESP) ögrencilerinin ögretmenlik meslegine yönelmelerinin nedenlerini programa katilanlarin görüslerinden yararlanarak ortaya koymayi amaçlamaktadir. Arastirmada nitel arastirma yöntemlerinden biri olan olgubilim yaklasimi benimsenmistir. Arastirmanin çalisma grubunu 32 ögrenci olusturmustur. Arastirmada veriler açik uçlu soru formu ile toplanmistir. Arastirmada katilimcilarin ögretmenlik meslegine yönelme nedenlerinin ögretmenlik meslegini sevme, meslegin çalisma kosullarinin rahat olmasi ve zorunluluklar oldugu saptanmistir.
